Simon Williams and Celia Adams have both agreed to the roles at St.George’s Lane. City Chairman Dave Boddy is delighted with the Club’s “new signings” and said “we are very pleased to have people of Celia and Simon’s calibre joining the Board of Directors.

He said:  “We have been looking to strengthen the Board, and their experience and skills in many areas of business will be a great asset to the Club. We are talking to a few other high quality candidates to further strengthen the Board, since the resignation of 3 Directors earlier in the year, and are hopeful that we will be able to make appointments during the next few months”.

Celia Adams and Simon WIlliams at Worcester City Football ClubCelia Adams is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with Ernst & Young.  She is a previous managing director of Taylors of Martley plc and the finance director of GA Property Services formerly Banks & Silvers.  Celia now operates as a turnaround director, in the public and private sectors, stepping in to bring new life and direction to organisations.

Her track record in mergers and acquisitions in the private and public sectors includes change management in blue-chip companies.  She has supported major hospitals with deficits and in motivation of people.

Celia, a director of the trading company of St Richard’s Hospice, Family Mediation and a member of the Audit Committee of Worcester University, said:  “I am excited at the possibility of helping Worcester FC to new successes.  The passion of the players and fans deserves the best business support we can give.”

Simon’s 25 years business experience ranges from starting up and building companies, through to top management roles within leading international corporations. He is an Accountancy graduate, with a great track record in Sales & Marketing, Team Building and Strategic Management/Consultancy. Today he owns and holds directorships with a number of organizations, including running a highly successful, award winning, business coaching firm (Arrivista Ltd.), which works with a wide range of local companies. Away from his business life he has been a trustee of the Worcester Eye Unit charity for many years and more recently has become involved with Myriad, another local charity, helping young people.
